Authorities in East Moline,IL say they found around a dozen razor blades glued to playground equipment at Millennium Park. Police say a two year old child was injured with a cut on his hand. Clearly, these actions could have caused much more serious injuries and could have injured several more children.
VanDerGinst Law is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to the apprehension and conviction of the person(s) responsible. “In what civilized society are these actions funny or acceptable?” mused Dennis VanDerGinst, managing partner of the firm, “Threatening the safety of innocent children is absolutely appalling. Whoever is responsible needs to learn that kind of behavior will not go unpunished.”
This reward offering becomes the third such measure taken by VanDerGinst Law in recent weeks, having offered a $1000 reward for information leading to the discovery of missing person, Carrie Olson, and another $1000 reward offered for information leading to the apprehension and conviction of the person(s) responsible for her death. “It is not our intention to create a fervor of vigilantism”, said VanDerGinst. “But, these recent events are horrendous and we are happy to do whatever we can to encourage cooperation with law enforcement authorities.”
