VanDerGinst Law Files Lawsuit Against Menards on Behalf of Client Injured in Garden Center Fall

(June 7, 2020) – DES MOINES, IA – VanDerGinst Law, P.C. has filed a premises liability/negligence lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa Central Division against Menards. The lawsuit seeks to recover damages for injuries sustained when the client was shopping in the garden center of the Altoona, Iowa, store location and tripped over uneven pavement. The fall caused the client to fracture the ball in the shoulder of her left arm.

The lawsuit alleges that the pavement in the garden center was in unreasonably poor condition, as the concrete/cement in that location was dangerous, cracked, and uneven. As such, the suit alleges that Menards was negligent in failing to take reasonable measures to maintain the pavement in the garden area and protect its customers from coming to harm as a result.
