VanDerGinst Law Hosts Free Bike Helmet Give-Away To Start Summer Off Safely

Free Bike Helmets – Stay Safe When You Ride

VanDerGinst Law hosted a Free Bike Helmet Give-Away on June 2, 2018, in the lower parking lot of the Moline office.

The event was part of the Hard Headed Kids Program, an organization started by CEO Dennis VanDerGinst whose mission is to provide bike safety helmets at no cost to children in the community. Since the organization’s inception, it has donated thousands of helmets to area children in an effort to keep them safe on their bikes during the summer.

“We know the number one rule in bike safety is to always wear a helmet,” says VanDerGinst. “We wanted to start a program that makes it easy for children to make smart safety choices.” The event, which took place from 10am-12pm, gave away dozens of helmets to children of all sizes.

Safety Tips Provided

Moline Police Officer Hoover was on-site with a police bike and spoke to the children about additional tips for safe riding. WQAD News 8 was on site to capture some of the fun and aired a segment about the event on the evening newscast.

Did you miss your chance to attend the giveaway? You can still get a free bike helmet by calling our office and scheduling an appointment to get your child fitted and pick one up.
