The Humane Society of Scott County has been helping homeless and abandoned pets find loving homes since 1902 and continues to serve as one of the region’s most important animal welfare organizations. Its mission focuses on providing compassionate care, promoting responsible pet ownership, and connecting adoptable animals with families throughout the Quad Cities.
One of the most heartwarming outcomes of this year’s Rescue Rocks event was that 16 dogs were adopted during the event itself, giving those animals an opportunity to begin new lives with loving families. As adoption applications continue to be processed, even more success stories are expected to follow.
For Dennis and Kim VanDerGinst, supporting animal rescue is more than a sponsorship—it’s personal.
Over the years, Dennis and Kim have fostered numerous rescue dogs, providing temporary homes, medical support, rehabilitation, and countless hours of love and attention while those animals waited for permanent placement. Their passion for helping vulnerable animals aligns closely with the mission of the Humane Society of Scott County and other local rescue organizations.
As personal injury attorneys, the VanDerGinst Law team spends every day helping people rebuild their lives after unexpected hardships. Supporting organizations that help vulnerable animals find safety, comfort, and second chances reflects many of those same values.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended Rescue Rocks, donated, volunteered, fostered, adopted, or otherwise supported this incredible event. Together, our community is making a meaningful difference for animals in need throughout the Quad Cities.
At VanDerGinst Law, we remain proud to support causes that strengthen our community and improve the lives of both people and pets.
