Northwestern Memorial Hospital Emergency Department
Northwestern Memorial Hospital is an academic medical center in downtown Chicago with a partnership with Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine that provides patients access to clinical trials, world-class patient care, and innovative research.
From Northwestern’s website: “Northwestern Memorial Hospital was one of the first hospitals to dedicate private rooms to all patients and continues to do so to this day.
Private rooms are proven to not only improve patient outcomes and encourage a closer, more collaborative relationship with the care team, but also provide additional comfort and privacy for patients and their families during a stressful time.
Patient rooms are designed to offer maximum natural light and city views, and the hospital’s integrated inpatient and outpatient system is organized by specialty to allow for greater efficiency for physicians to see patients.”
The Emergency Department at Northwestern Memorial Hospital is a Level I trauma center and stroke center which means that the emergency department has trained personnel available 24/7 for diagnosing and treating critical patients and providing total care from prevention to intensive care to rehab.
They also provide specialized care in many different types of emergencies.
