Mount Sinai Hospital has been in operation for over 100 years. The Sinai Health System started as a hospital for Eastern European Jewish immigrants and a teaching ground for Jewish doctors denied entry at other institutions.
Today, Mount Sinai hospital serves those in the city’s West and Southwest sides with some of the most severe systemic barriers that suffer the greatest health disparities.
