Melanie Weires brings more than 10 years of marketing experience to VanDerGinst Law. She has extensive marketing experience in highly regulated industries including banking and insurance. Previously, she has successfully marketed for local businesses through her own marketing company, as well as marketed for large national companies. As Chief Marketing Officer, she combines her education and work experience to bring a highly-skilled, integrated, and strategic approach to marketing the firm in all aspects of marketing.
Mrs. Weires graduated Magna Cum Laude from Clarke College (now Clarke University) in Dubuque, IA in 2009 with a B.A. in Business Administration and an emphasis in marketing. Her educational background allows her to not just market a business but understand and manage the impact on the overall bottom line.
Her focus is on data tracking and analysis to better understand the client and ensure their needs are being met. She continues to stay on top of current trends via ongoing education and memberships in marketing organizations including the American Marketing Association.
Mrs. Weires is currently working on her certifications with Google, HubSpot, and Hootsuite.
Personally, she is an avid supporter of causes near and dear to her heart including the Alzheimer’s Association, American Heart Association, and local animal shelters. She is a past board member of the Dubuque Jaycees and has served on many non-profit marketing committees. She currently resides in the Quad Cities with her husband, Craig, and their rescue dog, Joby. She is also step-mother to Isaac. She is an avid Crossfitter and boater and loves enjoying the outdoors as much as possible.
