Outside of her legal pursuits, Macy is an accomplished ceramic artist, with pottery serving as both a creative outlet and a beloved hobby. Her dedication to the arts extends beyond her personal interests, as she actively serves on the Board of Directors for the Ankeny Art Center, embodying her commitment to fostering artistic communities and cultural enrichment. Macy’s journey into the legal field was fueled by her passion for social and criminal justice reform. Her desire to effect meaningful change led her to pivot from her initial aspiration of becoming an art history professor to immersing herself in the legal industry.
