VanDerGinst Law 2018 Scholarship Opportunity
2018 Writing Topic:
You will soon be eligible to participate in what some call “one of the highest duties of citizenship” – the call of jury duty. Though the invitation is often met with moans and groans, serving as a juror for one’s peers is an incredibly crucial part of our democracy and our justice system. In 500 words or less, describe how you would react if called to serve and what, if any, measures can be taken to change the negative perception of jury duty in this country.
