Stryker Orthopaedics agreed to pay injured hip implant patients compensation expected to exceed $1,400,000,000 according to terms of a settlement announced November 3, 2014 in Federal court in Minnesota.
The settlement was the result of litigation involving Stryker’s popular Rejuvenate and ABG II hip devices that were recalled after patients began reporting serious complications caused by the metal-on-metal hip implant devices.
Stryker has sold more than twenty thousand of the defective hip implant devices, but court records show just over five thousand lawsuits have been filed. Unfortunately, defective hip implants continue to fail, and patients continue to suffer. If you had hip replacement surgery, the attorneys of Cory Watson can provide you with a free consultation to help determine if you qualify for compensation.
