If you watch much television you will undoubtedly see a myriad of attorney advertisements. VanDerGinst Law has done its’ share of advertising over the years. We feel that advertising is necessary in order to inform and educate the public about their rights. Many people are unaware that we will meet with them for free and will only take a fee on injury cases if we win. So, it is an important function and we do not criticize any law firm for taking the time to make the public aware of the services they provide. It is also important that we point out meaningful distinctions between VanDerGinst Law and other firms that you may see advertising their services.
1. We are headquartered in the Quad Cities and primarily practice in Illinois and Iowa. This is IMPORTANT. You may have recently seen a lot of advertisements from injury law firms that are headquartered out of state. They try to impress you with the fact that they are from the “big city” or that they have a paid celebrity spokesperson. Excuse our bluntness, but so what? We will stack our resources, successes and accomplishments up against any other law firm. Most importantly, if you check you may find that the main partners in those firms are not even licensed to practice law in your state! So, they often end up hiring co-counsel like VanDerGinst Law anyway, or they “assign” the file to a fresh faced lawyer with little experience. Being local means that we have local connections and resources.
Who is going to care more about you and your well being . . . a law firm headquartered in another state which is simply “mining for cases” and where you may never even meet your lawyer, or a firm made up of local friends and neighbors who do business in the community, like VanDerGinst Law?
2. We DO NOT represent insurance companies, EVER! Many law firms make their primary living by representing the interests of insurance companies, but they will represent the occasional injury victim when they can. To us, that is like serving two masters! On the one hand they defend negligent drivers on behalf of insurance companies. On the other hand they sue negligent drivers who are insured by the very insurance companies whose interest they sometimes represent. Do you think that a law firm like that will be totally unbiased when representing your interests as an injury victim? If you are talking with other law firms be sure to ask if any of the attorneys in that law firm ever represent the interests of insurance companies. We never have and never will. Our loyalties are always to you, the injured victim.
If you or a loved one has been injured on the job or due to someone else’s negligence, no firm will care more or work harder for you than VanDerGinst Law. If you need us, we would be honored to help. Call 309-793-1234 for a free consultation
